Meet Alana Redmond

Founder & Venice Local

Born & Raised in Ocean Beach | San Diego.

I started VivaLaVenice in the middle of a storm. The LA fires were burning, Topanga roads were closing (easiest route to family), and ash was falling from the sky here in Venice.

It was the kind of surreal moment that makes you pause and ask: What am I doing to protect what I love?

It started with me, I suppose. After five years of remote work—often in isolation—this project became more than a website. It became a community lifeline.
